Appleshaw Village is beautiful and quiet. This makes our hall difficult to find so, here are some helpful directions.


From Ludgershall




From Andover


Directions to Appleshaw Village Hall

Driving from Tidworth & Ludgershall

When driving from Tidworth and Ludgershall, you could take the A342 to the White House crossroads and turn left, going down the hill into the village where you will find the playing field directly in front of you. Take the right fork as signed and then the first left into Greensey and follow the directions. Another route from Ludgershall is to turn off the A342 in Faberstown, signed to Chute, and follow the beautiful valley road.


Driving from Andover

From Andover take the A342 Weyhill Road signposted to Ludgershall. You will go through Weyhill and past the Texaco garage on your left. Take the second exit at the mini roundabout next to the Weyhill Fairground. Take the second right turn signposted Appleshaw and The Chutes. Following the road down the hill into the village where you will find the playing field directly in front of you. Take the first right fork as signed and then the first left into Greensey and left again, you will see the village hall car park gates directly in front of you.

Cycling from near Andover

To avoid main roads you could take the beautiful countryside cycle through Penton Mewsey. Start your ride by going through Charlton using the Foxcotte road and following signs for Penton Mewsey. Go straight over the mini roundabout and through the villages of Penton. At the cross roads turn right towards Clanville. Take the left turn just after The Lion pub and following this road all the way into Appleshaw, watching out for the sharpe 90 degree left hand corner. Take the first right hand turn into Greensey and left towards the village hall car park. If you fancy refreshment The Walnut Tree pub serves lunch and dinner daily and is situated in the centre of the village.


Walking through our Village

There are plenty of wonderful walks in and around Appleshaw Village. A good introduction to the village would be to walk the circular route around it, starting at the village hall and taking the Ragged Appleshaw road and just keeping left at every junction.

You will arrive on a "T" shaped road called Greensey. Simple turn left at the "T" and head straight towards our Hall.
